Caroline Bay is in the centre of the City. It is one of the safest beaches for swimming in New Zealand.
Every year from Boxing Day thru until the middle of January we have 2 free concerts on our sandshell. Commencing 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
The Caroline Bay association and supporters all offer their holidays free to run this amazing entertainment.
We have had various well known NZ artists. Suzanne Prentice Maria Dallas Topp Twins Eddie Lowe.
Also u can try your luck at the many games they run. Chocolate Wheel Housie Skittles etc.
The association also run many ride on amusements.
This is the place to be for young and old over the Christmas Period. Visitors come from many places and return year after year.
New Years Eve is a carnival in itself with spectular fireworks and a Bonfire at 12pm
