Caroline Bay is in the centre of the City. It is one of the safest beaches for swimming in New Zealand.
Every year from Boxing Day thru until the middle of January we have two
free concerts on our sandshell. Commencing 1.30pm and 6.30pm.
The Caroline Bay association and supporters all offer their holidays free to run this amazing entertainment. We have had various well known NZ artists - Suzanne Prentice, Maria Dallas, the Topp Twins and Eddie Lowe.
Also you can try your luck at the many games they run including Chocolate Wheel Housie, Skittles etc. The association also run many ride-on amusements.
